Jones and his team at Franklin Robotics recently unveiled Tertill, a weed-killing robot.
The cute fiddling device is solar powered and waterproof; it lives in your garden, collecting sunlight during the day. Once the battery is fully charged, it starts roaming and hacking away at any weeds information technology passes over.
"Tertill treats short plants as weeds, cutting them downward with a string trimmer/weed whacker," the Franklin Robotics team explained. The robot "uses proprietary algorithms to ensure that it finds as many weeds every bit it can" and has sensors that crusade it to turn abroad from your actual plants.
